Parenting When We are No Longer Together
This 4 hour online parenting course fulfills the court
requirements for parents getting a divorce or completing a parenting plan. The State of
Texas requires a 4-hour education
course that must be completed on the topic of co-parenting after divorce. This course, affiliated with several
additional resources, has two main goals:
-
To minimize the negative effects and trauma experienced by parents and children in families
faced with divorce.
- To educate parents on the impact of divorce on children so they are better able to make sound decisions with regard to the best interests of the children involved.
The course is divided into eight modules and is completely self-paced. As you complete each module, there will be journal topics and activities to help process and reflect on the material covered. Each module has a corresponding chapter in the Parenting When We are No Longer Together book (A $24.95 value that comes free with the course). At the end of each chapter, you will find a set of review questions that will help to highlight the important aspects of each topic.
At the conclusion of the course, each participant must take an online test. This test will measure your retention and understanding of the content of the course. You must earn at least an 80% on the test in order to receive your certificate of completion. If you receive a score lower than 80%, you can retake the test. In either case, you will be given feedback on the answers you selected so that you know which were incorrect and which were correct. This will help to facilitate success in subsequent attempts of the exam.
